ROTATION DIET: DIRECTIONS FOR USING FREE VEGETABLES
Certain foods have so few calories that you can eat them in unlimited quantities. They are called free vegetables. That is, because of their water and fiber content, relative to the number of calories they contain, you cannot eat enough of them to prevent yourself from losing weight, provided you follow my other suggestions exactly. Thus, whenever you see "unlimited free vegetables" on my menus, you can eat from the following list of vegetables until you feel satisfied. ourmeds.org
You are also permitted to add free vegetables to any meal and to nibble on them as snacks. Because they contain so many vitamins and minerals (plus fiber) in relation to their caloric content, you will be increasing the nutritional value of your diet tremendously if you do so. (Free vegetables have fewer than 10 calories per serving.)
