Multitude Voice Enables Web Browsing With FireTalk
Multitude, makers of FireTalk, the Web-based voice communications service that allows users to make free, high sound-quality Internet calls to individuals or groups, today announced the ability to take the integration of voice and the Internet a step further. Building on FireTalk, Multitude is adding a new functionality, called FireTalk on the Web, voice enabling the entire Internet.
FireTalk on the Web allows Web surfers to join communities with common interests, and immediately participate in voice chat sessions at their favorite sites. A FireTalk user will be able to go any Web site and start talking to other people on the site who are also FireTalk-enabled. It raises Web chatting to a whole new level, allowing people to communicate in a much more natural way rather than the archaic way of "chatting" through typing.
People are able to talk in real time, rather than needing to post an inquiry and wait for a potentially irrelevant response. In addition, they will be able to hop around sites and participate in "shared" Web browsing while talking with a friend or group of friends.
